Atom AA, 2017-2018, Travel (Cambridge roadrunners Girls' Hockey Association)

A fantastic home tournament weekend for the Atom AA girls who fought hard and battled all the way to the clinch the bronze medal.   Although it was a tough loss in the semis to the #1 team in our loop, the girls continued to show how they've developed and improved this season and kept the pressure on to win on Sunday in the bronze medal game. And huge shout-out to the other RR teams who came to cheer on their fellow roadrunners, the CrGHA and our amazing parent volunteers for making this tournament such a successful and well-run weekend!  

The Atom AA team is giving back to our community this season by sponsoring a local family as part of their holiday team event.  The girls did all of the shopping together to help make sure each family member would have some special gifts to open over the holidays.  Some of the girls even used their own allowance money to put towards the gifts.  It was a great team event that focused on giving back, showing kindness and compassion and spreading the holiday spirit! Way to go roadrunners!

The Atom AA roadrunners were undefeated in Pittsburgh this past weekend, and brought home gold for the U10 division at the Three Rivers Cup. It was a great weekend of hockey and team time, and the players truly represented their team, our association, and Canada! Way to go Atom AA!

Atom AA players celebrated World Girls’ Hockey Weekend on Saturday, October 7, at the Hespeler Arena.  The Atom AA players & their opponents, the Etobiocke Dolphins, showed their support for World Girls’ Hockey Weekend by taping their sticks in bright yellow & they took a joint team photo that will be shared on the OWHA & Hockey Canada websites.

The Atom AA team did an amazing job at the Kids Dash this weekend at Chicopee. The heat didn't stop them as they all encouraged each other to the finish line - along with the help of 3 of our moms!   Congrats on completing the dash together as a team!
