Atom B, 2014-2015, Travel (Cambridge roadrunners Girls' Hockey Association)

The feisty Roadrunner Atom B team recently qualified for the OWHA Provincial tournament. Their group comprised of six teams, after round robin games, the three top teams would move onto the provincial tournament.

The Atom B Roadrunners recently completed their regular season. This past weekend they participated in the Flamborough Winter Chill hockey tournament and on Sunday had advanced to the championship game against West Huron. These two teams played with a lot of effort and enthusiasm, which resulted in a very exciting and entertaining game. When the final buzzer went in the gruelling affair, the Roadrunners had won their second tournament of the year, defeating the Wave by a 2-1 score. Recently the Atom B Team came together for an evening event and raised a sizeable monetary donation, which was made to Cambridge Shelter Corporation "The Bridges" to help feed the homeless. The Bridges houses the Welcome Aboard Drop-In Centre each day, providing a number of services and programs to those experiencing homelessness, and to other marginalized individuals and families in our community. The Cambridge Roadrunners Atom B team had a busy weekend playing three games in three days. The team kicked off the "Pink in the Rink" evening Friday at Preston Arena, playing before the Rivulettes game and loud crowd of Cambridge Spectators, winning 4-0 over Guelph.

Saturday afternoon the Atom B Roadrunners volunteered to serve ice cream sundaes at Chartwell Queens Square Retirement Residence.
