The U9B Cambridge Roadrunners girls wrapped up their full-ice regular season in dominant fashion, finishing with a perfect 15-0 record. Game after game, the Roadrunners proved just how special this group is combining relentless offence, disciplined defence, and outstanding goaltending.
From the first puck drop of the season, the Roadrunners forwards came flying. Their speed, passing, and teamwork created wave after wave of pressure in the offensive zone. The girls filled the net consistently, piling up goals and keeping opposing teams on their heels. Whether it was quick breakaways, strong forechecking, or beautiful passing plays, the Roadrunners’ attack was exciting to watch and incredibly effective.
But this perfect season wasn’t just about scoring. Behind the offence stood an incredible defensive group and rock-solid goaltending. The defence battled hard every shift clearing pucks, blocking shots, and shutting down opposing rushes before they could develop. When teams did get chances, the Roadrunners goalies were outstanding, making big saves and keeping the goals-against remarkably low throughout the season.
The result was a team that dominated on both sides of the puck scoring often while allowing very few goals against all season.
Most importantly, this season was built on hard work, teamwork, and heart. Every player contributed, supported each other, and grew tremendously as teammates and hockey players. The coaches, families, and fans couldn’t be prouder of how these girls represented the Cambridge Roadrunners organization.
The season isn’t over yet. The Roadrunners are looking ahead to finishing the year strong, with another tournament coming up and the Provincial Jamboree still to play. With the momentum and confidence they’ve built all season, this team is ready for whatever comes next. No matter what happens from here, one thing is certain this group of girls has had an incredible season, and the future is bright.
