Peewee A, 2019-2020, Travel (Cambridge roadrunners Girls' Hockey Association)

There was some exciting hockey over the last three weeks for the Peewee A Cambridge roadrunners against worthy opponents from Woolwich Wild, Wilmot Wolverines, Kitchener Rangers and Waterloo Ravens.  Peewee A Roadrunners went 2-0-2 in their regional playdown qualifier series to advance to the 2020 OWHA Provincial Championships April 3-5 in the GTA!   

The Peewee A team would like to thank Maya D'Arcy and Jaime Magoffin from the Cambridge Rivulettes for giving up their time to work with our girls at a recent practice! The forwards who got to work with Maya and see her quick release and the centres who got to work with Jaime on winning face-offs were delighted!

The early morning starts didn't phase the Peewee A players in this past weekend's Ancaster Shootout.  They had a terrific 3-0-1 tournament performance and fought hard to bring home the silver medal!  Congratulations to the PWA players and coaches, and big thanks to the parents as well.

The Peewee A team is taking part in 4 CrossFit sessions in the month of September to build team unity and gain strength for the upcoming season!!!! Thanks to Matt and Nicola for the first two sessions at CrossFit Cambridge and please know that the girls have been asking if they can keep doing CrossFit!!!! The sessions involve a lot of physical activity and are combined with games that allow the girls to get to know each other and work as teams. For more info, contact Matt at [email protected]
