Peewee (#2) Black, 2012-2013, House (Cambridge roadrunners Girls' Hockey Association)

The Roadrunners handed the undefeated Raven a 3 - 2 loss. It was the Ravens first loss of the season. Once again playing with a short bench the Roadrunnners battled hard the entire game. The girls showed outstanding team work and displayed some really nice passing. Mackenzie Walsh had  2 goals and Maiya O'Neill added a single.The coaching staff is very proud of all the girls for all the hard work and dedication they are showing. The team finished the first half of the season 6 - 2 - 2.

In other recent action the Roadrunners lost 2 - 0 the Woolwhich Wild and defeated the Wilmot Wolverines 1 - 0 . Kellsie Povey scored the lone goal assisted by Alcia Rozic and Amber Mai. Sarah Richards earned her 3rd shutout of the season. The team has there last game of the first half against Waterloo.

The Peewee Black Roadrunners tied the White team 2 - 2 in a hard fought battle.Scoring for the Black team was Katie Hynds and Maiya O'Neill who scored on a great shot from the point. Assist went to Regan Harris,Jaden Carr and Hynds. The defence core of Maiya O'Neill, Carrie Martin , Mikayla Weinhardt and Ashley Penney played a very strong game in front of the solid goaltending of Sarah Richards. The game was a total team effort and all players played a great game.  

In recent action the Roadrunners lost to Grand River 2 - 1 scoring for the Roadrunners was Regan Harris assisted by Mackenzie Walsh.The team then rebounded for a 3 - 2 win versus Waterloo #4 . Mackenzie Walsh led the way with a hat trick. Katie Hynds had 3 assist and Sophie Smith played her best game of the season and picked up 2 assist. 

The Peewee Black Roadrunners defeated Kitchener and Stratford in recent games. The team beat Kitchener 3 - 0 with Sarah Richards earning her 2 straight shutout in net. Mackenzie Walsh had 2 goals and Kellsie Povey added a single. The team travelled to Stratford and beat the Aces 4 - 1.Playing with a short bench the girls worked extremly hard and displayed good team work to earn the victory. Kellsie Povey had 2 goals and Mikalya Weinhardt and Regan Harris also scored for the Roadrunners.Assist on the goals went to Carrie Martin, Katie Hynds and Jalen Mahler. Keep up the good work girls !!!!
