Tryouts and Internal Skates for the 2026/2027 Season Are Here!
The roadrunners will be hosting an Internal Development Skate prior to tryouts for all players currently registered for the 2025/2026 season with the CrGHA who plan to play at the U11–U18 levels.
To participate in the Internal Development Skate, players must register in advance. The skates are scheduled for the weekend of April 12–13.
- U11 – Birth years 2017 & 2016
- U13 – Birth years 2015 & 2014
- U15 – Birth years 2013 & 2012
- U18 – Birth years 2011, 2010 & 2009
Tryouts
Players registered with CrGHA for this current season are invited to attend tryouts for the 2026/2027 season, beginning Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
We will be hosting tryouts for the following teams:
- U18: AA, A, BB and B ( Birth Yrs 2011, 2010 and 2009)
- U15: AA, A and BB/B ( Birth Yrs 2013 and 2012)
- U13: AA, A and BB/B ( Birth Yrs 2015 and 2014)
- U11: AA, A and B ( Birth Yrs 2017 and 2016)

We are also pleased to announce that we will have two U9 teams for the 2026/2027 season:
- U9B
- U9C
(U9 tryouts will be held in the fall. More details to come in the summer.)
Tryout Packages
This year, two tryout packages are available for each age group:
- Package 1: Participate in all tryouts from AA through to B levels
- Package 2: Begin at the A level and continue through to B (bypassing AA)
Please refer to the Tryout Schedule for your player’s assigned ice times.
(Example: Players born in 2009, 2010 and 2011 will attend U18 ice times.)
Schedules are subject to change, so please check it regularly.
Registration Details
- Players will be assigned an identification number to track progress throughout tryouts which will be emailed to you
- When registering, the season may appear as 2025/2026 due to a system limitation across OWHA associations
- All packages apply to the upcoming 2026/2027 season
Permission to Try Out (PTT)
Current roadrunners players wishing to try out with another association must complete an OWHA Permission to Tryout form
- Once submitted, the VP of Travel will return the signed form within 2–5 days
- This form must be presented to the association where the player is trying out
Additional Notes:
- Players from other OWHA girls’ associations must submit a signed PTT form from their current association
- Players from co-ed (boys) hockey, ringette, or those not currently affiliated do not require a PTT form
