Coaching Requirements for Travel and House League for the 2016/2017 Season

HOUSE LEAGUE/COMMUNITY SPORT HOUSE LEAGUE COACHES PRE 2014 All coaches, who have attended a coaching clinic and have a coaching # before Aug 1 2015, are deemed “Trained” and their “Trained” status is valid until Aug 1, 2020. If the coach does not complete the MED Community Sport and 10 Professional Development points by Aug 1 2020, they will be required to retake the course.

 
HOUSE LEAGUE COACHES 2015 ON Head Coach is required to be at minimum “Trained” in Coach 1/2.  Further information on the “Trained & Certified” process will be outlined during the in class coaching clinic which includes the completion of the Coach workbook, MED Community Sport, and 10 Professional Development points. If these requirements are not met by Aug 1 2020, the Coach will be required to retake the course.  Note: For the house league/community level, it is also recommended that Assistant Coaches be Coach 1/2 “Trained”. 
 
COMPETITIVE COACHES ALL DIVISIONS AND CATEGORIES (Excluding Bantam, Midget,Senior and Intermediate AA) COMPETITIVE COACHES PRE 2014 All coaches who have attended an Intermediate or Development 1 coaching clinic and have a coaching # before Aug 1 2015, are deemed “Certified” and their status is valid until Aug 1, 2020. If the coach does not complete the MED Competition Introduction and 20 Professional Development points by Aug 1 2020, they will be required to retake the course. 
 
COMPETITIVE COACHES 2015 ON Head Coach is required to be “Certified” in Development 1 within the current season. Further information on the certification process will be outlined during the in class coaching clinic which includes the completion of the workbook, field evaluation of a
practice, and completing the MED Competition - Introduction. If the requirements for “Certified” are not met by Aug 1st of that season, the Coach will remain as “Trained” status and not be permitted to roster the following year as a Head Coach. All coaches must complete the MED Competition Introduction and 20 Professional Development points to maintain “Certified” status or they will be required to retake the course.  Note: For these competitive levels, it is also recommended that Assistant Coaches be Development 1 “Trained”. 
 
BANTAM AA, MIDGET AA, AND INTERMEDIATE AA Head Coaches for Intermediate AA, Midget AA, and Bantam AA MUST have High Performance NCCP chart. Note: For these competitive levels, it is also recommended that Assistant Coaches be Development 1 or High Performance “Trained”.
