Dear roadrunners Members,
As the newly elected President of the association, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to the membership.
I have a long-standing connection with this association, both as a player and now as a parent. I was a proud roadrunner for many years, and both of my parents also served as Presidents of this organization. I was fortunate to be part of the team that won the first-ever Provincial Gold Medal for the roadrunners, an achievement that helped pave the way for a Junior program (Fury/Rivulettes) in Cambridge. After aging out of the program, I continued my hockey journey by playing for the University of Guelph varsity team.
Now, as a parent of two daughters currently in the association, we are heading into our fourth season with the roadrunners. Given my personal history with the organization, I knew I wanted to give back. I began coaching during the 2023–2024 season and was elected to the Board as Director-at-Large Discipline for the 2024–2025 season.
It’s an honour to now step into the role of President. I’m excited to work alongside the Board elected on May 30, 2025, and I am confident that we share a common goal: to serve every athlete in this association with dedication and integrity. I recognize the challenges we face, but I believe that together we can continue to grow and move forward in a direction that best supports all roadrunners.
Thank you for your trust and support. I look forward to a successful season ahead.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Bridgman
