The Cambridge Intermediate B roadrunners  earned the title of OWHA Provincial Champions just last week, and finished their season defeating the OWHA Intermediate A Provincial Champions in the 46th Annual Brampton Canadettes Tournament. Both Goalies, Emma Clark and Janel Kuska, were outstanding in net!

The roadrunners went undefeated in round robin play with goals going to Samantha McCarthy, Whitney Wakeford (2), Olivia Henhoeffer (2), and Taylor Jones. Assists came from Amy Barnard (3), Amanda Allan, Megan Longpre, and Jones.

The roadrunners faced off against the US Lady Patriots in the Semi-final. Outshooting the US team 37 – 14, the roadrunners beat their opponents 3 - 2, with 2 goals from McCarthy and one from Lauren Levesque. Assists came from Victoria Henry, Laura Pekkola, Wakeford (2), Barnard and Jones.

Advancing to the final, Cambridge met up with the Provincial Intermediate A winners, the Oshawa Lady Generals. Cambridge outshot the Generals 31 – 20, with goals coming from Pekkola, Henhoeffer, and Wakeford. Assists went to Kyra McAleney, Allan (2), and Barnard. Catherine Foreman was named MVP in the Championship game.

The roadrunners have had a great season, winning Gold in the Stratford Tournament Sr B Division, winning Gold in the Provincial Intermediate B Division, and winning Gold in the Brampton Sr A Division.
