The U11 AA team has continued their hardware run with a silver medal in the International Silver Stick Finals Tournament!

A slow start saw the team finish Friday with losses to both Kanata and Peterborough despite strong play. However, a group promise to "Being Great" and playing their brand of roadrunner hockey resulted in an unbeaten Saturday with a tie against Stoney Creek and an an overtime win against Waterloo in the quarter-finals.

The girls found redemption against Peterborough in the semi-finals with a strong 2-0 win setting up another final against their tournament rivals in Toronto Leaside.

A timid start found the team down 1-0 to Toronto Leaside after the second period. Despite playing their 6th game in just over 48 hours the team rallied to force overtime with a late third period goal. Unfortunately, an unlucky bounce led to a goal scoring chance for Leaside during the 3v3 overtime period, resulting in a 2-1 overtime loss.

The silver medal represents the second medal earned by the team this season, adding to their impressive record of finishing in the top 3 in all four tournaments they have entered.

A huge congratulations to the team on another well earned and deserved medal!
