IMPORTANT NOTICE
Submitted By roadrunners Hockey on Sat 11 07, 20
This week, the Province of Ontario released the COVID-19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open which categorizes Public Health Units into 5 levels. The Framework outlines the public health and safety measures for sports programs etc. The Region of Waterloo has moved from Green (Prevent) to Yellow (Protect). In response to these changes, the OWHA sent an email yesterday afternoon letting us know that we were NOT permitted to participate in modified games and scrimmages until they received clarification from the Government.

Late last night, we received another email from the OWHA letting us know that they received direction from the Government and we are now permitted to continue with modified games and scrimmages. At this point, all of this weekend's games for the entire organization were already rescheduled into practices and referees were cancelled. This was not an easy task for our Ice Scheduler. Given the lateness of receiving this new information, it was too late to reschedule games and referees. Therefore, this weekend's schedule will remain the same. Regular modified games will resume as of Monday, November 9th.

We thank everyone for their patience. We are very grateful that the girls are still on the ice this weekend and can continue to play modified games moving forward.
