Congratulations Kirsty Booth!
On behalf of the Cambridge roadrunners Girls Hockey Association, I am pleased to announce that Past President Kirsty Booth has been given the status of Honorary Life Membership.

The recommendation was passed unanimously at the Monday June 26th CrGHA Board meeting.

Kirsty joined the Cambridge roadrunners (CrGHA) Board in 2008 and fulfilled multiple roles; such as Director at Large, Director of Sponsorship, Equipment Manager and Vice President of Travel prior to taking over the role of President in 2015.
Kirsty held the role of CrGHA President from 2015 – 2022.

During her time as President, Kirsty relentlessly advocated for fair treatment and equality at Cambridge City Hall to ensure the Cambridge roadrunners received the same ice allotment as neighbouring boys hockey programs. As a result of Kirsty’s pursuit, ice was allocated equally resulting in more development opportunities across all levels within the organization.

Along with growing the roadrunners organization through ice availability, Kirsty also played a key role in building the partnership between the Cambridge roadrunners and the Cambridge Rivulettes. Creating community focused events such as; Pink in the Rink and the Teddy Bear Toss. Additionally, this collaboration lead to the Mentorship program, where Rivulettes players attend roadrunner practices to assist with younger players skill development. All of these initiatives continue today!

Kirsty’s involvement within the roadrunners organization has impacted every level of hockey from Fundamentals to U18-AA. Kirsty’s years of advocating, volunteering and commitment to the growth of woman's hockey in our community is a key reason the Cambridge roadrunners Girls' Hockey Association sits on the foundation we do today.

On behalf of the CrGHA Board of Directors and the Cambridge roadrunners membership, thank you Kirsty for all that you have done and continue to do for our players!
