This past weekend the Midget AA Roadrunners travelled to Colgate
University in New York state where they watched the Raiders, NCAA
Division 1's 6th ranked women's team. They were host to the Syracuse Orange
at their brand new hockey facility on Saturday afternoon. The game was fast
paced and entertaining, with the Raiders rallying to finish in a 2-2 tie.
After the game, the players got to go behind the scenes and tour the university athletic and hockey facilities where they met Raider goalie Julia VanDyk, a former Roadrunner.
On Sunday morning, the team practiced in this incredible and sparkling facility, whose grand opening was October 1. We travelled to Syracuse Sunday afternoon and played the Syracuse Nationals U17 team winning 6-2.
This weekend was an incredible team event that left our players with a lot of inspiration and great memories. We would like to thank the Roadrunner executive/organization for their support and Colgate University for giving us this incredible experience.
