Peewee Teal wins Silver at Clearview Madness in the Valley tourney!!
We took this awesome bunch of girls up to Alliston, On. this weekend and it was successful both on and off the ice!! With a shorter bench of 12 + our goalie our girls faced some tough competition and got a lot of ice time.  Oh, and we just happened to come away with a Silver medal to boot!!!

With only 11 skaters for Friday afternoon's game we faced a tough team from Sudbury and spent most of the game in our end.  We missed a few chances as well and lost 4-1.  Ryleigh. M got the POG hat+puck and Ava. G got our goal.

With losing first game we needed a "bounce back" day on Saturday for our two games.  Well we bounced all right with coming out on fire vs Barrie and got the early 2 goal lead and eventually holding on for the 3-1 victory!!  The Locke twins both recieved the POG Hat and puck (and are sharing..lol) with a goal each. Nicole.T with the 3rd goal and Jasey.C grabbing the assist.  Other notibles in this game where Kaitlyn.S being involved and playing through an injury as well as Claire. A and Paige. S strong on D.  Victoira. R was strong in goal in this one as well.

A quick turnaround 3 hrs later in our second game of day we needed a win to secure a spot in Sunday's championship game vs the hosts Clearview Ice Cats.  The game was a "sea saw" battle with us having to come back from behind three times in the game. Scoring her first ever goal was Alexia. M to get us on the board!! Eventually we ran the table in third with the help of Ava. G and her 4 goal performance and 5 point game earning her the POG hat and puck!

Championship Sunday found us vs undefeated Sudbury.  We got the lead and started well.  They tied it up and then took a 3-1 lead.  Our team doesn't understand the word quit and got it to 3-2 and just fell short of tying it up. Notibles in this game where Makayla. T with some good chances and strong defensive play as well as Izzy. M almost getting a deflection late in the game.  POG hat and puck going to Nicole. T today for a strong game and 2 assists.

Very proud of the on ice performance this weekend and lots of pool/hotel fun as well.  A great time for all involved and I enjoyed being a part of it!!

Thanks ladies and great job!!!

Coach Bill.
