Cambridge roadrunners Midget AA vs Team China
On Friday November 2nd the Cambridge roadrunners Midget AA team took a team charter to First Ontario Centre to play the Qiqihaer R&DT Hockey team from China.   This team is composed of players that will eventually tryout for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.  Also, this is the second time the Midget AA's and Team China have faced each other with our roadrunners winning in the dying minutes last season.  This season the roadrunners prepared for the rules of International hockey and settled into the game flow much quicker taking a quick 2-0 lead on goals from Keegan Camp and Ashley Feledi.

Only to awaken a very deep Team China team to come roaring back and tie the game up at 2 a piece after one period.   The second period saw a very skilled Qiqihaer team attack shift after shift, but a powerplay goal from the roadrunners Cassidy Heckman put them up for good midway thru the second.   The third period saw the goal of the game by Camp, her second, and that ended up being the final, Cambridge 4 - Qiqihaer R&DT Hockey Team 2.
Our Midget AA players represented the roadrunners Association with pride but also got a brief taste of just what it takes to play at the International level and represent your country, even if only for one night!
