17-18 DS - Novice DS - Novice DS wins Bronze!
Submitted By roadrunners Hockey on Sunday, February 11, 2018
Last weekend the Cambridge roadrunners Novice DS families braved the winter weather conditions traveling to Orangeville to compete against 5 other teams from across the Province. The competition from Ayr, Durham West, Etobicoke, Orangeville and Scarborough was tight with only 2 teams not scoring points in round robin play. The scrappy, hardworking roadrunner team placed 4th after playing the top 3 seeded teams. The semi-final game vs 1st place Etobicoke ended in a 2-0 loss sending them to the bronze final, thought it wasn’t for a lack of opportunities as 8 shots went thru the goalie to miss wide of the net or hit the post. The Bronze medal match on Sunday started with Orangeville scoring first, undeterred, the roadrunner squad worked hard to come from behind and win the game 2-1.

Way to go girls!
