18-19 House - Peewee 1 - Peewee 1 Wins Gold at Jason Cripps Tournament!
Submitted By roadrunners Hockey on Tuesday, January 1, 2019
Congratulations to Peewee 1 who has won gold in the annual Jason Cripps tournament Peewee Hicks division!

The girls played an amazing set of games going 3-0-1 heading into the championship game against Ayr Rockets.  Ayr was undefeated thought the tournament with on 2 goals against entering the final game.  Cambridge knew they would be a tough opponent and stepped up to the challenge.  The girls started out very strong, putting away a goal in the first period.  This seemed to light a fire under Ayr which immediately picked up their game even more pushing hard against Cambridge.  An intense back and forth game continued for the remaining 2 periods intensifying the arena in a nail biting tight battle between the two amazing teams.  In the end Cambridge managed to hold the 1-0 lead to take home the gold.

Way to go Cambridge Peewee 1!!!

Congratulations also to Ayr Rockets for the amazing effort and final game, you have pushed Cambridge to step it up even farther.

Ralph O’Brien
Head Coach
